Keifer Sykes, G, Wisconsin-Green Bay

6'0" | 167 lbs. | 21 years old

2014-15 stats:

18.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.7 steals, 44.1 field-goal percentage, 30.1 3-point percentage

Projection:

Second round/undrafted

Quotable:

"I know when I came to Green Bay, I wasn't thinking about the NBA. I was just happy to have a scholarship so my parents didn't have to pay for school. But I began to work hard, and things just started happening for themselves. For me, I don't really try to get too high or try to get too low. My junior year when people were saying, 'It could happen,' that just made me want to work that much harder so I wouldn't fail."

Fit for the Bulls:

A Chicago native, Sykes proved that despite a small size and a small school, he was able to make some noise on the college hoops scene in recent seasons. Twice named the Horizon League Player of the Year, he scored at will against any caliber of opponent — including a pair of games against Big Ten power Wisconsin in the past two seasons. Sykes is a speed demon and utilizes that quickness to get to the basket and score the basketball, even against big defenders. But there's a reason that last qualifier is necessary: Sykes is tiny. Just 6-foot-0, he'd be among the shorter point guards in the NBA, all the while the competition would look that much bigger compared to the defenders he faced nightly in the Horizon League. But there's no doubting his scoring ability in college — though not always money from beyond the 3-point arc — and should the Bulls want him, Sykes could fill the type of role players like C.J. Watson, Nate Robinson, D.J. Augustin and Aaron Brooks have in recent seasons.
