According to Y! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, the Bulls are expected to sign center Jarvis Varnado to a 10-day contract.

The 6-foot-10 power forward worked out in Chicago on Monday, according to Wojnarowski.

In 22 games with the D-League's Iowa Energy this year, Varnado averaged 14.1 points, 11.0 rebounds and 4.7 blocks in nearly 32 minutes per game.

Varnado was selected No. 41 overall in 2010 by the Miami Heat. He has had two stints in Italy, another in Israel and had played with the D-League's Sioux Falls Skyforce since that time, while also appearing in five games for the Celtics in 2012-13 and eight more for the Heat later that year.

Varnado is the all-time leading shot blocker in Division I basketball history with 564 swats. He's one of two players with 1,000 career points, 1,000 rebounds and 500 blocks (David Robinson) in college basketball history.
