With Wednesday night's NBA regular-season finales over, here are my picks for league honors.

(Disclaimer: I actually have an official say in two awards this season)

Most Valuable Player: Derrick Rose, Chicago Bulls (runner-up: Dwight Howard, Orlando Magic)

All-NBA first team: Rose (point guard); Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers (shooting guard); Howard (center; LeBron James, Miami Heat (small forward); Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks (power forward)

Second team: Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder (small forward); Amar'e Stoudemire, New York Knicks (power forward); Pau Gasol, Lakers (center); Dwyane Wade, Heat (shooting guard); Rajon Rondo, Boston Celtics (point guard)

Third team: LaMarcus Aldridge, Portland Trail Blazers (power forward); Carmelo Anthony, Knicks (small forward); Tyson Chandler, Mavericks (center); Russell Westbrook, Thunder (point guard); Manu Ginobili, San Antonio Spurs (shooting guard)

Rookie of the Year: Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers

Second team: Jordan Crawford, Wizards; Omer Asik, Bulls; Greg Monroe, Detroit Pistons; Wesley Johnson, Minnesota Timberwolves; Ed Davis, Toronto Raptors

Defensive Player of the Year: Howard

All-defensive first team: Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Milwaukee Bucks; Grant Hill, Phoenix Suns; Howard; Andre Iguodala, Philadelphia 76ers; Westbrook

Second team: Luol Deng, Bulls; Ibaka; Chandler; Kyle Lowry, Houston Rockets; Arron Afflalo, Denver Nuggets
