Blackhawks could dress seven defensemen vs. Flyers

Jordin Tootoo was out due to illness and the Blackhawks could dress seven defensemen when they face the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday.

Coach Joel Quenneville said Tootoo could play tomorrow but if not, the Blackhawks may have an extra defenseman out there.

Ryan Hartman, who suffered a lower-body injury in the first period of Friday’s game against the Nashville Predators, could skate tomorrow morning. But Quenneville said it’s “unlikely” Hartman plays against the Flyers.

The Blackhawks switched up lines again on Monday. Tyler Motte was moved to the top line with Jonathan Toews and Richard Panik while Marian Hossa moved to the third line with Marcus Kruger and Dennis Rasmussen. Vinnie Hinostroza and Nick Schmaltz were on the fourth line; Michal Rozsival was right wing on that line in the absence of Tootoo and Hartman.

Corey Crawford will get the start.
