Carlos Marmol has a new team.
The ex-Cubs closer signed a one-year deal with the Marlins on Thursday, according to a report.
Marmol pitched with the Cubs for parts of eight seasons before being traded to the Dodgers last season. He saved 117 games and posted a 3.50 ERA in his Cubs career.
In 21 games with the Dodgers last season, he posted a 2.53 ERA in 21 1/3 innings of work.
The Cubs play six games against the Marlins in a two-week span in June. The Fish visit Wrigley Field from June 6 through 8, and the Cubs travel to Miami from June 16 through 18.
