The Cubs still have their sights set on the division, but the more realistic goal would be to earn the top wild card and host the Pittsburgh Pirates for that one-game playoff.
Looking ahead, the Cubs host the Milwaukee Brewers for three weekday games beginning Monday. The Brewers haven't had the type of season they hoped for, but they have plenty of talent and the motivation to play spoiler and disrupt this three-team NL Central race.

After that, the Cubs get their final offday of the regular season Thursday before welcoming the Pirates for a weekend series that very well may decide the wild-card seeding.
