Reigning league MVP Mike Magee was not in the team's camp Monday, and the Daily Herald is reporting Magee is holding out and wants to renegotiate his contract.

Magee, a local product from Long Grove, Ill., was paid a guaranteed compensation of $191,666.67 (with a $185K base salary) last year, according to the Daily Herald, and is under contract through 2015.

He has reportedly been away from the team's camp for the last few days, initially citing personal reasons as an explanation.

Magee, 29, came over to the Fire last May in the trade that sent Robbie Rogers to the Los Angeles Galaxy. Magee scored 21 goals in 2013, including 15 with the Fire in just 22 games.
