Golf Channel's John Feinstein previews PGA Championship

The PGA Championship kicks off Thursday, and there's a lot to look forward to.

Golf Channel's John Feinstein joined SportsTalk Live on Tuesday to preview the major tournament this weekend, and who you should keep an eye on.

"I hate to be predictable, but you've got to watch Jordan Spieth," Feinstein said. "There have only been two guys in history who have won three majors in a year. One was named Ben Hogan, other was named Tiger Woods, and he's got a chance to do that.

"He came really close at the Open Championship to being in that playoff, he didn't play great last week in Akron and he still finished seventh. That's how good his game is right now. I think all conversations right now have to start with him."

Another big storyline involves the world's No. 1 golfer. Rory McIlroy, who hasn't played since the U.S. Open on June 21 due to an ankle injury, confirmed that he will return this weekend as he looks to defend his title.

But Feinstein cautions it may be a difficult course for McIlroy and his recovering ankle to play on.

"We'll see about Rory McIlroy, with that ankle injury," Feinstein said. "You [CSN's David Kaplan] mentioned how hard it is to walk this golf course, and I think that could be a factor on a bad ankle for Rory McIlroy."
