Sports Business Minute: March Madness Chicago style

Should companies let their employees watch the NCAA Tournament games?

It's one of the biggest and most popular times in sports, as March Madness takes over the nation, but those stuck in an office Thursday and Friday are typically unable to watch games.

Comcast SportsNet Business Insider Rick Horrow believes some companies should find a way to get their employees access to the games, even if it may lead to some lost productivity.

"A happy worker is a productive worker, so shut up," Horrow said. "Watch the games on Thursday and Friday. Employers will certainly benefit as well."

Chicago will also play a part in this NCAA Tournament, hosting Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight games, which Horrow said will help the city economically.

It's something the Big Ten and Chicago Sports Commission should be proud of, Horrow says.
