Yesterday DePaul secured the fourth member of its 2013 recruiting class when three-star shooting guard R.J. Curington pleged his commitment to Oliver Purnell and the Blue Demons.
The 6-foot-5 Curington, from Dyer, Ind., has played his entire preps career at the esteemed Oak Hill Academy (Va.), and had scholarship offers, according to Rivals.com, from Florida State, Maryland, Murray State and Stanford, among others.

He told Rivals.com's Alex Kline he chose DePaul over other schools because of its proximity to his hometown -- about 36 miles -- and his relationship with assistant coach Billy Garrett and his son, Billy Garrett Jr., a four-star combination guard also committed in the 2013 class.

Purnell and the Blue Demons are 10-10 this year and have dropped six of their first seven in conference play. They'll take on Notre Dame tomorrow afternoon in Rosemont.
