Chicago, IL. - According to a press release issued Tuesday, DePaul University has granted permission for transfer to four of its men's basketball players. Montray Clemons, Moses Morgan, Jodan Price and Derrell Robertson, Jr. will seek transfer opportunities with other schools, while finishing the remainder of their spring quarters at DePaul.
“We appreciate the efforts of these four players,” said head coach Oliver Purnell. “We support their decisions to look for other opportunities.”
This move will likely free up scholarships for the school's incoming recruits.
Morgan saw the most playing time at DePaul, totaling 83 games over his three-year career. He averaged 5.9 points and 2.3 rebounds in 29 games this season, while Clemons played in 19 games this season and averaged 1.3 points and 1.1 rebounds per game. Price saw action in eight games as a freshman and Robertson played in 61 games in two seasons. He averaged 1.9 points and 2.6 rebounds in 32 games in 2012-13.
The DePaul Blue Demons finished their 2012-2013 campaign with an overall record of 11-21, and a Big East conference record of 2-16.
