It's a part of life in the 21st century: Your phone will ring at the most inopportune time.
Well, one reporter was using his phone to record the press conference of Northwestern Wildcats coach Pat Fitzgerald on Monday when it started ringing.
The coach noticed and answered, constantly referring to the name on the screen.
"Graham's calling for somebody," Fitzgerald alerted the media before answering and giving Graham a nice message.
“Hey, Graham, we’re in a press conference, buddy. You’re going to have to call him back.
“OK, go Cats. Bye bye."
College football coaches constantly talk about eliminating the distractions, but even in one of the biggest game weeks of the year — No. 16 Northwestern hosts No. 4 Ohio State on Saturday — this seems to be one a smiling Fitzgerald was fine with.
