10:45 a.m.: Illinois added St. Rita linebacker Marc Mondesir among its 10 in-state signees on Wednesday. The 6-foot-2 Mondesir was the No. 26 overall player in Illinois in the Class of 2017.

10:40 a.m.: Northwestern stayed local for another recruit with Lakes defensive back Cameron Ruiz. The 5-foot-10 Ruiz was Edgy Tim's No. 28 overall player in Illinois in the Class of 2017.

10:35 a.m. Illinois added another playmaker at wide receiver by signing Bolingbrook's Kendall Smith. The 6-foot-2 Smith joins Brother Rice's Ricky Smalling to give the Illini more vertical threats in the offense. Smith is Edgy Tim's No. 13 overall prospect.

10:30 a.m. The Spartans continued to keep momentum going by announcing the signing of four-star Maine South offensive lineman Kevin Jarvis. The 6-foot-5 Jarvis is the No. 13 offensive guard in the Class of 2017 and the No. 218 player overall. 

10:25 a.m.: Michigan State announced the signing of Lake Park defensive end Jacub Panasiuk. The 6-foot-4 Panasiuk follows in the footsteps of his brother, Mike, who is a freshman defensive tackle.

10:20 a.m.: Northern Illinois added some depth to its line by signing St. Charles North offensive lineman Isaac Hawn. The 6-foot-6 Hawn is Edgy Tim's No. 23 player in the Illinois Class of 2017.

10:15 a.m.: In a televised announcement, four-star East St. Louis wide receiver Jeff Thomas committed to Miami. One of the only decisions left to be made on Signing Day from Illinois, the 5-foot-10 Thomas is the No. 2 overall prospect in Edgy Tim's Illinois rankings. Thomas is the No. 8 overall wide receiver and the No. 57 overall player.

10:05 a.m.: Iowa signed its third prospect from Illinois on the day with Bradley-Bourbonnais defensive back Camron Harrell. The 5-foot-10 Harrell joins Oswego East's Ivory Kelly-Martin and Edwardsville's A.J. Epenesa as the Hawkeyes' in-state players.

10:00 a.m.: Miami (Ohio) came into Illinois and nabbed a top-20 prospect with the signing of Deerfield defensive end Josh Maize

9:55 a.m.: Protecting quarterbacks will be the job for Prospect offensive lineman Alex Palczewski as he signed with Illinois. The 6-foot-6 lineman was a bit of a late bloomer but he's Edgy Tim's No. 25 in-state prospect in the Class of 2017.

9:50 a.m. Illinois is hoping to find a quarterback of the future by getting Marian Catholic quarterback Cameron Thomas. The 6-foot-3 Thomas is a dual-threat quarterback and was Edgy Tim's No. 27 player in the state in this class.

9:45 a.m.: Marist had a busy signing day with three players signing among Edgy Tim's top 100 prospects. Yale getting linebacker Micah Awodiran was the biggest coup as they landed the No. 14 overall prospect over offers from bigger programs. Kansas also signed defensive back Robert Topps and Kansas State signed offensive lineman Bill Kuduk.

9:23 a.m.: Minnesota and new head coach P.J. Fleck have signed Bishop McNamara wide receiver Chris Autman-Bell. The 6-foot-1 Autman-Bell is the No. 17 overall prospect in Illinois.

9:18 a.m.: Playing next to Oladipo at Illinois could be Peoria defensive tackle Kendrick Green. The 6-foot-3 state champion signed with the Illini and is another top-20 Illinois prospect as he's No. 18 in the state. 

9:13 a.m.: On the defensive line, Illinois also kept talent at home by signing Huntley defensive end Olalere Oladipo. The 6-foot-4 Oladipo -- who goes by "Lere" -- is another top-15 in-state prospect to sign for head coach Lovie Smith as he rates as Edgy Tim's No. 12 overall prospect.

9:10 a.m.: Illinois bolstered its offensive line with the addition of Rockford Auburn offensive lineman Vederian Lowe. The 6-foot-5 Lowe is the No. 11 prospect in Illinois, per Edgy Tim and he's one of four top-15 in-state signees for the Illini.

9:00 a.m.: Notre Dame continues to add area talent with the signing of St. Viator tight end Cole Kmet. We profiled Cole Kmet earlier this year as our Wintrust Athlete of the Week. The Irish are gaining a four-star prospect who is the No. 3 tight end and No. 95 overall prospect nationally. 

8:55 a.m.Lemont tight end Logan Christopherson has officially signed with Missouri. The 6-foot-6 Christopherson finished as the No. 15 Illinois prospect in Edgy Tim's final state class rankings.

8:50 a.m.: Northwestern stayed quiet in terms of local recruiting in the Class of 2017 but they did sign Glenbard North wide receiver Jace James. The 6-foot-1 James is considered Edgy Tim's No. 19 overall prospect in Illinois in the class.

8:45 a.m.: Iowa continued to be active in Illinois on National Signing Day by inking Oswego East running back Ivory Kelly-Martin. The 5-foot-11 Kelly-Martin is considered the No. 41 overall running back by Rivals as he gives the Hawkeyes a versatile back.

8:40 a.m.: The top prospect in Illinois, Edwardsville defensive end A.J. Epenesa, has signed with Iowa. The 6-foot-5 legacy recruit is considered a five-star prospect and the No. 1 strongside defensive end in the country, according to Rivals. Epenesa is the No. 30 overall national prospect.

8:37 a.m.: Duke stayed busy in the Land of Lincoln this morning by announcing the signing of Loyola Academy tight end Jake Marwede. The 6-foot-5 Marwede could be catching passes from Jacobs quarterback Chris Katrenick for the Blue Devils down the line. Marwede rates as the No. 19 overall tight end nationally, according to Rivals.

8:33 a.m.: Illinois has one of its most important signatures in. Brother Rice four-star wide receiver Ricky Smalling signed this morning during a signing ceremony as our own Edgy Tim was in attedance. The 6-foot-1 Smalling is a vertical threat for the Illini as he's regarded as the No. 48 overall wide receiver prospect by Rivals.

8:30 a.m.: Jacobs quarterback Chris Katrenick has signed with Duke as the 6-foot-2 three-star signal caller was a hot recruit at the end. Originally committed to Bowling Green, Katrenick was one of the state's best quarterbacks this season.

8:20 a.m.: Notre Dame has announced Neuqua Valley senior Isaiah Robertson. The four-star athlete could find himself playing either side of the ball for the Irish as Rivals rates him as the No. 202 overall prospect nationally. Edgy Tim considers the 6-foot-2 Robertson to be the No. 3 overall prospect in Illinois in the Class of 2017.

8:15 a.m.: Wisconsin has announced Bolingbrook's Izayah Green-May. Regarded as the No. 9 overall prospect in Edgy Tim's Illinois Class of 2017 rankings, Green-May is considered the No. 32 weakside defensive end nationally, according to Rivals.
