Bolingbrook linebacker Izayah Green-May picks Wisconsin

Bolingbrook three-star outside linebacker/defensive end Izayah Green-May made a fourth unofficial visit on Saturday to the University of Wisconsin, and he gave the Badgers his verbal commitment.

"I already had planned to commit to Wisconsin on Saturday," Green-May said. "I pretty much knew I was sold on Wisconsin after my third visit a few weeks ago. Once I was on campus again on Saturday, the visit just confirmed my feelings about Wisconsin so I committed."

Green-May was quickly becoming one of the most sought after names in the Midwest this spring and now joins a rapidly growing list of Class of 2017 names from Illinois to make early verbal commitments. So why commit this early?

"I wanted to commit early for a long time, and that was always in the plans for me," Green-May said. "Some of the schools wanted me to either wait or camp with them this summer, and I just didn't want to wait. The hardest part of the process for me was just trying to keep in touch with the college coaches. It started to become hard to just make sure I was able to spend time talking to them and staying in touch."
