Evanston senior Nojel Eastern made his college decision on Wednesday afternoon as he pledged to Purdue at a ceremony at his high school.

The 6-foot-6 Eastern is considered a four-star prospect, according to Rivals, as he's ranked as the No. 75 overall prospect in the national Class of 2017.

As a junior, Eastern averaged 14.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, four assists and two steals per game as he helped the Wildkits to a Class 4A regional title. Eastern is a two-time CSL All-Conference selection and he was third-team All-Area for CSN last season.

Over the summer, Eastern was a finalist for the USA Basketball U17 world championship team as he'll be a major factor in the Player of the Year race.

Evanston will be a state title contender in Class 4A this season thanks to Eastern and a team filled with experienced seniors.
