You just won't find a hotter recruit this winter in Chicagoland if not the Midwest than Glenbard North junior safety Greg Newsome (6-foot-2, 170 pounds).
Newsome might have also been one of the busiest athletes in the state this winter, having juggled his junior basketball season playing for the Panthers while also traveling the country this winter nearly every weekend playing 7-on-7 for Boom Midwest. Also don't expect Newsome, who now has added well over 20 scholarship offers and growing this winter for his spring to slow down anytime soon.
So how does Newsome even begin to start to narrow down so many offers and options this coming spring?
I caught up with Newsome at the Fifth Annual Franklin Dodgeball Madness Tournament at Franklin Middle School in Wheaton. Proceeds from the tournament benefited the school, the DuPage Hundred Club, Team Red, White and Blue and The Pat Tillman Foundation. Watch the video above.
