Crystal Lake Central three star ranked offensive guard Wyatt Blake (6-foot-4, 270 pounds) has decided to announce his college decision on Friday, March 17th at a press conference at school.

Wyatt also told Rivals.com/WildcatReport.com's publisher Lou Vaccher that he will decide between either Minnesota or Northwestern. Wyatt rated his recent visits to Minnesota and Northwestern as a "10" out of 10.

Phillips once again has some impressive underclassmen, and two Wildcats added recent FBS level offers.

Junior quarterback J'Bore Gibbs (6-foot-3, 220 pounds) added an offer from Eastern Michigan.

"Eastern Michigan just offered me a scholarship today (Tuesday)," Gibbs said. "It's exciting to get an offer from Eastern Michigan and I didn't see it coming at all."

Gibbs has also been drawing increased recruiting attention from NIU, Toledo, Illinois, Kansas State, Bowling Green, North Dakota State, Nebraska and Virginia.

Phillips sophomore DB/WR Joseph Thompson (5-foot-10, 160 pounds) made a recent on campus visit to Northern Illinois University and came away with his first offer from the in-state Huskies.

"I had a really good visit at NIU. I had a chance to see some of the facilities like the weight room and the offices," according to Thompson. "I also had a chance to see some of the dorms and some of the study areas at NIU. NIU offered me as more of an athlete type of recruit. They feel I could play a few different positions so they want to see how I develop over the next year before they decide on a set spot for me."

Thompson has also drawn early interest from Penn State, Minnesota, Iowa State and Illinois.

Palatine junior linebacker recruit Cortez Hogans (6-foot-3, 190 pounds) has been able to add two Missouri Valley Conference offers this week from North Dakota State and Southern Illinois.

"I have offers now from North Dakota State and also SIU," Hogans said. "SIU just offered me earlier tonight (Tuesday) and NDSU offered me a few days earlier. It's pretty exciting."

Hogans has also picked up recruiting interest so far from Wyoming, Central Michigan, NIU and Drake.
