When Batavia has the ball: The Bulldogs have a very experienced squad here and the offense has some veteran playmakers to watch. Senior quarterback Micah Coffey (Minnesota/baseball) has thrown for 2,237 yards this season. Batavia also has a potent running game led by senior running back Anthony Scaccia (1,725 yards 25 touchdowns). Batavia has the ability to show several different looks/formations and can keep teams guessing at all times with it's offense.
When Richards has the ball: The Bulldogs have one of the most dangerous threats in all of Class 6A in junior quarterback Hasan Muhammed-Rogers (2,199 yards passing ) Muhammed-Rogers also has a deep group of skills including senior Tacari Carpenter, junior Spencer Tears, junior Ramonta Hill, junior Romeo Johnson plus senior Ryan Willett. The Bulldogs will make teams defend the entire field and Richards is capable of breaking open a big play at any moment.

Key match-up to watch? The Batavia defense versus the Richards offense. In the regular-season matchup back in Week 2, Batavia was hurt by the big play in the 31-26 loss to Richards in Batavia. Look for the Bulldogs to be more than prepared to limit the big plays and breakdowns. Keeping the Richards offense on the sidelines is priority number one for the Batavia defense in this state title game.
