CSNChicago.com is your top destination on the road to the 2015 high school football season. CSN preps contributor “Edgy” Tim O’Halloran will take a look at 100 teams in 100 days, counting down to the opening night kickoff on Aug. 28.

No. 20 Batavia

2014 Record: 8-2 (7-0) won the Upstate Eight River conference in 2014. Lost to Mount Carmel in the opening round of the 7A state playoffs.

Why did the Bulldogs make the @CSNPreps Power Ranking?
Batavia will welcome back 11 starters and the Bulldogs reload as well as anyone in the far Western suburbs year in and year out.

Areas of concern heading into the 2015 season? Batavia graduated all five starters on it's offensive line from a season ago.

It will be a good season if:
The Bulldogs offensive line comes together and Batavia plays its usual brand of fast and very physical defense.

Headliners?
Senior quarterback Kyle Niemiec is a multi-positional type of weapon for Batavia and has been an impact player for the Bulldogs on varsity since his sophomore season.

Biggest Game of 2015?
October 2nd hosting Naperville Central. It's hard to not say either Week 1 at Oswego or one of the oldest rivalries in the state in Week 8 at Geneva, yet in my mind we will find out just how good this team is in Week 6.

Did You Know?
Batavia, who won the Class 6A state title in 2013 has yet to win a state playoff game in 7A (0-3).
