Say what you want about sectional championships, supersectionals or the state finals in Peoria, but try finding one night on the high school calendar with as many marquee matchups as this Friday night in Chicagoland.
Whether it’s a profile of two East Suburban Catholic powerhouses or an epic rematch between the two top teams in the Central Suburban South, Comcast SportsNet will have you covered. Maine South put the clamps down on New Trier late back in January in a 47-45 triumph. Will the Trevians get revenge this time around? In Chicago Heights, will Tyler Ulis and company take care of Notre Dame or will Matt Mooney and the Dons have an answer? Larkin High School had a one-win season back in 2007-08. They are now the champs of the Upstate Eight River conference. How will they fare against their top-dog counterparts from the ‘Valley’ side of the Upstate Eight?
All this…and we haven’t even broached the Public League Championship yet. Who will reign supreme at Chicago State Friday night?
