9:50 a.m.: The big news for Chicago recruiting today is the announcements of Whitney Young's Jahlil Okafor at 3 p.m. and Curie's Cliff Alexander at 3:15 p.m., but Illinois took a major blow in their recruiting class Friday morning.
In a shocking turn of events, former Illinois commit, point guard Quintin Snider from Louisville, has decommitted from the Illini and signed a letter of intent to play for Louisville, where he was formerly committed, according to Scout.com's Evan Daniels.

The news is a major blow for Illinois, although they do still have three point guards in the fold next season with Tracy Abrams, Jaylon Tate and Oregon State transfer and Chicago-native Ahmad Starks all with eligibility. Still, Snider had higher acclaim than those three and is a major loss.
