Rivals.com team raking? 50

In state commitments?

Parrker Westphal, Bolingbrook (already enrolled) - Four-star ranked defensive back can play either corner or safety, and also could be a factor on special teams. Last minute commitment was huge for the Wildcats who beat out Vanderbilt for Westphal.

Clayton Thorson, Wheaton North- Four-star ranked quarterback with exceptional athletic skills. Was an early verbal commitment to the Wildcats, who as a junior played both quarterback and wide receiver for Falcons.

Justin Jackson, Glenbard North - Four-star ranked running back was a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year in Illinois. Jackson was simply the most productive two-way standout player (RB/DB) we've seen in many years here in Illinois.

Blake Hance, Jacksonville - Three-star ranked offensive tackle recruit who played tight end for the Crimsons and head coach Mark Grounds. Has the frame and overall make up to develop into a standout offensive tackle down the road.

Highest ranked recruit according to Rivals.com?  Thorson is a four-star ranked recruit and the 6th best quarterback prospect in the nation. He's the 136th nationally ranked player per Rivals.com.

A name to watch? JB Butler, Joliet Catholic - The Wildcats will have this Joliet Catholic grinder on the roster as a preferred walk on. Butler allowed Northwestern to add an interior offensive linemen to the roster without costing them a scholarship. Butler has the ability to become a scholarship player.

Thoughts on the Northwestern class? Don't let the Rivals.com team ranking to anyone else's team ranking fool you. The Wildcats will sign a very good class here and also a smaller one (14-16) overall. Locally, they added some serious talent and this could potentially wind up being their best local haul in many years.
