After a 13-year drought, Bradley basketball is making its second NCAA tournament appearance in a row.

The Braves beat Valparaiso 80-66 in the final of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament on Sunday. This is the second straight year Bradley won the MVC Tournament.

Last year, the Braves did it with a 9-9 conference record and went on a surprise run in St. Louis. This time around they entered with an 11-7 MVC record, tied for third-best in the league.

Bradley trailed at halftime, 38-36, but ran away with it in the second half. Senior Darrell Brown led the way with 21 points. Elijah Childs had 17 points and eight rebounds. Ja’Shon Henry came off the bench to contribute 16 points and seven rebounds.

Bradley enters the NCAA tournament with a 23-11 record. A year ago they were given a No. 15 seed and lost to Michigan State 76-65.
