Bright lights, big production: this Foles stat should get Bears' fans excited

Unless you were living under a rock (or taking social distancing to a whole ‘nother level), you know the Bears recently acquired Nick Foles from the Jacksonville Jaguars via trade, hoping to give Mitch Trubisky some competition for starter in 2020. Despite being remembered fondly in Philly during his Super Bowl MVP tenure on the Eagles, his reception by Bears’ fans was lukewarm at best.

Chicago shouldn’t write off Foles just yet. Eagles reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks recently appeared on the Lawrence Holmes Show and shared some inspiring stats about the Bears potential starter.

"To me what really tells the type of player Nick Foles is... he was 11-2 with the Eagles in prime time games. That's Sunday night, Monday night, Thursday night, playoffs, all that stuff. So when the lights were bright and the Eagles needed a win, Foles almost always got it for them."

Bears’ fans take note: Foles isn’t a Philly-fan favorite and Super Bowl MVP for nothing. While his production in Jacksonville was less-than-inspiring and sidelined by injury last season, there is always a chance Foles can return to form at Soldier Field.
