Cubs uniforms and nicknames revealed for 2019 Players' Weekend

The Cubs Players' Weekend jerseys are getting a bit of a shakeup this season.

Tuesday, MLB revealed team jersey and cap designs for 2019 Players' Weekend – which will take place Aug. 23-25. After back-to-back seasons wearing jerseys featuring some combination of blue and teal, the Cubs will rock an all-white look this season.

The all white look is...something. At the very least, each player certainly will stand out a bit more than usual, though one can only imagine the laundry job that will need to be done after each game. 15 MLB teams will rock similar white jerseys and caps, while the other 15 will don an all black look.

Here are the nicknames that Cubs players will wear on the back of their jerseys, according to MLB.com:

Albert Almora Jr. – “TICO”
Javier Baez – “EL MAGO”
David Bote – “BOAT”
Kris Bryant – “KB”
Victor Caratini – “VIC”
Nick Castellanos – “ARTIST”
Tyler Chatwood – “CHATTY”
Steve Cishek – “SPEEDPASS”
Willson Contreras – “VENEZUELA”
Yu Darvish – “YU-SAN”
Taylor Davis – "BTD"
Daniel Descalso – “SCALS”
Cole Hamels – “HOLLYWOOD”
Ian Happ – “HAPPER”
Kyle Hendricks – “HENDO”
Jason Heyward – “J-HEY”
Derek Holland – “DUTCH”

Craig Kimbrel – “DIRTY CRAIG”
Brandon Morrow – "B MO"
Brandon Kintzler – “SALT”

Anthony Rizzo – “TONY”
Kyle Ryan – “KR91”
Kyle Schwarber – “SCHWARBS”

Some of these players aren't currently on the Cubs active roster, such as Contreras, Descalso, Strop and Zobrist. Players' Weekend is a few weeks away, so they have time to return, though they obviously won't rush back for the special weekend.
