Jabari Parker and others react to reported death of rapper Mac Miller

Friday, 26-year-old rapper Mac Miller reportedly died due to a drug overdose, according to TMZ.

Bulls forward Jabari Parker posted a photo on Instagram reacting to Miller's death shortly after news broke.

"I don’t even take pictures with my hero’s because the memory is more important than the canvas," Parker wrote in the photo's caption. "But this particular day I had to.

"This day I wasn’t even suppose to be there. But as soon as my boy told me your whereabouts, I rushed over to holla at you.

"Always will be your fan. RIP brother, one of the greatest to do it!"

Miller is well-known for albums Blue Slide Park, GO:OD AM and K.I.D.S. and released another album, Swimming, in early-August. He also is famous for previouly dating singer and actress Ariana Grande, though the two broke up in May 2018.

Chicago musician Chance The Rapper also reacted to the news in a series of tweets.

"I dont know what to say Mac Miller took me on my second tour ever. But beyond helping me launch my career he was one of the sweetest guys I ever knew," Chance tweeted.

"Great man. I loved him for real. Im completely broken. God bless him."
