Jacobs' Cameron Krutwig making name for himself

Share

Jacobs junior forward Cameron Krutwig doesn't get nearly the attention that he deserves, partly because he plays in an area not known for basketball.

The Fox Valley Conference doesn't produce a lot of Division I basketball talent, but the 6-foot-7 Krutwig is making a name for himself as a skilled post player who can score around the hoop or make plays as a passer.

Jacobs won a regional title and the FVC Valley Division title last season as Krutwig was their best player as he averaged 17.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.6 blocks per contest.

With 17 scholarship offers to his name, Krutwig is being recruited by a ton of mid-major programs trying to gain his commitment over the next year. For his senior season, Krutwig will try to make Jacobs a relevant name to follow in the Chicagoland area as he's hoping to lead the team on a deep playoff run.
