A highly touted member of Urban Meyer's 2015 recruiting class is no longer with the Buckeyes.

Torrance Gibson is transferring away from Ohio State, heading to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College after being suspended by the university earlier this year, according to a Tuesday announcement by the junior college.

In August, Gibson was suspended by the school — not by Meyer, the football program or the athletics department — for the entire fall semester in what amounted to a season-long suspension for the redshirt freshman. At the time, Meyer voiced his disagreement with the decision.

Gibson was a four-star dual-threat quarterback out of Florida in 2015, the 15th-best dual-threat quarterback in the class and one of the top 50 players in the recruit-rich Sunshine State, according to Rivals. Once he arrived at Ohio State, Gibson made the transition to wide receiver, though he was listed as both a receiver and a quarterback on the Buckeyes' roster when his suspension was announced.
