Mike Zimmer sure does sound fed up with the kicking situation in Minnesota, and Bears fans can extremely relate

With another good game against the Titans on Thursday night, Eddy Pineiro can probably assume that the Bears’ job is his. That’s good news, because it’s been a long road since Cody Parkey’s kick hit the post twice and the Bears lost a playoff game and Cody Parkey went on the Today Show and the Bears didn’t like that so the Bears cut Cody Parkey and meanwhile Robbie Gould lobbied the Bears job for leverage while the Bears brought in nine kickers to try out only to watch Joey Slye split the North End uprights down the middle from over 50 just to settle back on the original guy they traded for. It’s been a long road since then.

With all of that behind us, we can fondly look up the road to Minnesota, where it sounds like things are going much better!

TBD on how good he was from 43. Kaare Vedvik was supposed to easily take Dan Bailey’s spot, but then was bad (?) so Bailey’s still around (??). So now, instead of finding one good kicker, the Vikings landed on two bitter kickers with very little confidence. AND because they may keep both on the roster by just moving Vedvik to punter, they’re running poor Matt Lile, who did nothing wrong, out of his spot.

It’s all so very bleak in a way that feels fresh simply because it’s happening to another team. Some aspects are relatable, though:

Yeah, Mike. We do too.
