NFC North: Bears move into second place after win over Vikings

The Bears survived an injury report that included Akiem Hicks, Roquan Smith, Kyle Long and Taylor Gabriel, as well as an in-game injury to Mitchell Trubisky, to thoroughly dominate the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4's NFC North showdown, 16-6.

Chase Daniel provided just enough offense to complement another incredible performance by the Bears' defense, led once again by Khalil Mack, who finished with 1.5 sacks and another forced fumble. More impressive than Mack's production was the play by Chicago's reserves led by Nick Williams and Nick Kwiatkoski, who took full advantage of their opportunities to start. Williams led the Bears with two sacks while Kwiatkoski paced the defense with 10 tackles.

The Bears' win moves them to 3-1 on the season, with just a tiebreaker separating them from the Packers (3-1) because of their Week 1 loss to Green Bay. The Vikings, now 2-2, are in last place in the NFC North, while the Lions, who nearly upset the Chiefs Sunday, are in third place at 2-1-1.

The Bears have another winnable game against the Raiders in London in Week 5. The Packers, on the other hand, travel to Dallas to face the Cowboys. It's a very real possibility that Chicago could head into their bye week in sole possession of first place in the division.
