THURSDAY'S GAMES

High School Lites will have highlights from multiple Public League Playoff games. Here's NBC Sports Chicago's Joe Collins and Scott Phillips previewing the Second Round action.

FRIDAY'S GAMES

Oswego at Oswego East, 6:30 p.m. -- One of the best rivalries in the suburbs hits the Southwest Prairie as these also happen to be the top two teams in the league. Oswego (15-8, 5-1) fell to Waubonsie Valley on Wednesday after three straight wins. Oswego East (18-6, 6-0) is led by point guard and All-Area candidate RayJ Dennis. Oswego East won the first matchup between these two teams, 67-49, on Dec. 20.

No. 14 St. Rita at No. 21 Leo, 7:00 p.m. -- The Catholic League White gets a clash between top-25 teams here. St. Rita (19-7, 10-1) hasn't lost to an Illinois opponent since Dec. 27 as they've quietly piled up wins in the Catholic League. The Mustangs close with a brutal conference schedule that includes Providence-St. Mel, Mount Carmel and DePaul Prep, so this is a key game to start that stretch. Leo (18-6, 8-3) had an impressive win over Mount Carmel a week ago as they try to stay in the conference race with a win.

No. 7 Marian Catholic at No. 25 Benet, 7:00 p.m. -- An important game in the ESCC that could help decide a crowded conference race. Marian Catholic (22-3, 6-0) has won five straight games following a win at Richards earlier this week. Point guard Ahron Ulis and forward Chris White form a great one-two punch for the Spartans. Benet (18-6, 5-1) has bounced back with two straight wins after dropping three straight at the end of January.

Notre Dame at St. Patrick, 7:00 p.m. -- A classic rivalry game in the ESCC here. The Dons (16-9, 5-1) are also trying to keep pace with Marian Catholic, Benet and St. Viator as sophomores Anthony Sayles and Troy D'Amico are players to watch. St. Patrick (14-10, 2-4) has won four straight games as they're a dangerous team despite being out of the conference race.

Wheaton North at WW South, 7:30 p.m. -- Another rivalry game takes us to the DuKane Conference. Wheaton North (15-9, 8-2) is led by senior Deng Reng as they're a game back of Geneva in the league standings. WW South (15-9, 8-2) has lost three of its last four as they try to get back on track before the playoffs begin. The Falcons won the first game between these teams on Dec. 21.

Glenbard West at No. 24 OPRF, 7:30 p.m. -- The West Suburban Silver gets showcased here. Glenbard West (17-7, 4-5) is led by senior Evan Taylor, a Southern Illinois commit and All-Area candidate. OPRF (14-8, 8-1) is trying to maintain its division lead with York as the Huskies feature a balanced and senior-laden group.

Aurora Christian at Chicago Christian, 7:30 p.m. -- Two 20-win teams battle in the Metro Suburban Blue. Aurora Christian (20-6, 6-2) was ranked at once this season as junior Will Wolfe is a Division I prospect. Chicago Christian (20-7, 7-3) earned a win over St. Francis after dropping back-to-back games to Aurora Christian and Riverside-Brookfield -- the top two teams in the division.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: Dundee-Crown at Hampshire, 7 p.m.  -- We go to the Fox Valley for a key girls matchup as the winner wins the conference title. Dundee-Crown (22-7, 14-1) has won five straight games as they come in hot. Hampshire (25-5, 14-1) has won six straight games as they've already split two games this season with the Chargers.

VIEWERS CHOICE GAME OF THE WEEK

Manteno at Westmont, 7 p.m. -- Our Viewers' Choice Game of the Week takes us to the Interstate Eight this week. Manteno (13-9, 2-6) is coming off of a solid win over Momence. Westmont (21-4, 6-1) is a 20-win team we haven't seen on the show this season as a win over Peotone earlier this week snapped a two-game slide.
