Frank Thomas is known for doing things the right way on the field.
So when it comes to the Alex Rodriguez Biogenesis scandal, the White Sox legend isn't exactly supportive of A-Rod's decision to show up in Chicago as he waits to hear about a possible suspension from MLB commissioner Bud Selig.
"I think it's gotten to the point where he thinks he's bigger than baseball," Thomas said about Rodriguez. "I mean, for me, I would have my attorneys calling the commissioner's office right now (and ask), 'Am I gonna get suspended or not?'
"There's no way he should be flying into Chicago with the circus atmosphere, with every piece of media in the world, making their reservations right now to be here to see, can Alex Rodriguez get on the field even though he knows he's gonna be suspended?"
Major League Baseball announced this afternoon that Rodriguez has been suspended through the 2014 season. However, the suspension won't begin until Aug. 8, which means he'll be taking part in the upcoming White Sox-Yankees series.
