Former Cubs catcher and current Yankees manager Joe Girardi joined SportsTalk Live on Wednesday and didn't hide his appreciation for his former teammate, Greg Maddux, who was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
"I was younger than Greg in my career, and he was willing to help us come along as young players as well," Girardi said. "He was a real treat to catch. He was easy to catch because he never missed his spots."
Check out in the video above Girardi's reaction to Frank Thomas and the fear he instilled in pitchers and catchers during his playing years as well as his thoughts on known steroid users and the Hall of Fame.
