The Red Sox took a chance this past offseason when they let Jacoby Ellsbury walk in free agency. The hope was that top prospect Jackie Bradley Jr. would fill the void at a much lower cost.
Well on Wednesday night, Bradley Jr. showed off the skills that gave the Red Sox front office confidence in the young outfielder.
