BALTIMORE – White Sox outfielder Avisail Garcia was out of the lineup for the second time in three days Sunday. Sox manager Robin Ventura said Garcia was not feeling well because he needs to have a tooth pulled.
“He was supposed to be in there,” Ventura said. “He wasn’t feeling that good yesterday. He ought to get something done tomorrow, so he might have a few days here where he doesn’t play.”
Garcia is getting the procedure done Monday.
As for pitching coach Don Cooper, who was hospitalized Saturday with symptoms of diverticulitis, Ventura said he is going to try to meet up with the team at Camden Yards today so that he can fly back to Chicago with the team.
“Not feeling that good,” Ventura said. “I think he might take some medication, be able to fly home with us and get checked out again in Chicago.”
